Thursday Hugs (3)

So...anyone have any good ideas about any new topics that I may ramble on about like what I'm doing now...Okay! So! There's a nun and a police officer in a bar. And the nun says...

One thing that I love about blogging is the interactiveness with the readers. When you ask a question someone is bound to answer. When you need help someone is there. When you just to bitch out to someone there's always a pair of ears listening eyes reading. So I guess my topic for today is:

Knowing that there's always someone online to listen to you ramble, does it bring relief?
I mean like whenever I feel down or frustrated I tend to just let it fly. I post the most random things that pop out of nowhere and surprisingly people listen and comment! Of course they tend to say that they found the post funny. Even for the more happy news like weddings, graduations, vacationing, it always make me smile when someone else is able to relate. Even across the world we share a certain bond.

P.S. I wasn't kidding when I said I need help picking a new topic. Eep!

Thursday Hugs (2)

We're back with another round of Thursday Hugs. Thursday Hugs is a retaliation by me against all the negative thoughts that have been going on through this community. This time the topic is in making friends.

How has books and blogging affected you when making friends? Especially when it concerns making friends through the book blogging community?

Wow. So that question definitely wasn't confusing at all! Anyway here's my answer. While books and blogging are a great start to build a friendship I don't think it always depends on that. Four-fifths of my close friends hate books as in if it touches them they sizzle. Getting them to read is like bathing them in acid. The other fifth read only 2 books per year outside of school, at max. This can also apply vice versa--not everyone who loves books I like. Sure we both like to read but aside from that we tend to clash. So I think books are a great starting point especially when meeting someone new. but it cannot be the krazy glue that will stick those two people together.

Making friends in this community is a whole other story. Everyone knows everyone here likes books. So what can be the divider from making friends with every single blogger? Personality is one. Some people and I just click. We can make other laugh, smile, and sometimes pour our problems to them. It's all a matter of how often you talk to each other. I talk to some bloggers daily--once a day or some sort, so of course we know a lot of the smaller details. It's all about how well you connect with he or she.

Friends are awesome. Having close friends are even better! I've meet, well talk to some wonderful people that I can definitely associate as close friends. But I also have close friends outside of blogging.

So what's your opinion? Do you have some really close friends in this community? Do you think blogging/books can bring people together? Let me hear what you say! Just leave a link in the comments.

Thursday Hugs

So remember that post I made about the Chill War? Well after talking it over with Sharon we decided to come up with a new meme. This will be an every other week meme where we talk about the happy side of blogging (that means next week I won't post this but the following week I'll post another topic).

Tired of the negative energy everyone is putting off? Then post some love on your blog! For the first meme I thought we would start off with something small.

How was your first experience meeting a blogger outside of the internet?

Truthfully I never did meet a blogging buddy in the real life. Do I want to? Heck yes! I'll probably end up crushing someone's windpipes from my bear hugs. BEA sounds like such an amazing opportunity so whomever is going, I'll be there with you in spirit!? [distant screams: take me with you!!! kidnap me! I don't care, school is for suckers anyway...]

I won't mention who I want to meet the most since I can't pick favorites...Alea, Sharon, Carol, Vania, Khy, and Laura (because she might kill me if I don't add her)

But really though, I'll be excited to meet anyone. Seriously, someone throw me a bone. Who wants to come visit Yan so she won't be alone with summer!?

My answer wasn't really answering what the question was asking...Well! so let me hear your story! Sharon helped me with the Mr.Linky so now we can directly link to your tales. If you just want to join the CHILL WAR, don't be shy to add you link to the other post.

Okay so Mister Linky is down for the count. Apparently the site is offline or something... I thought only girls PMS :P
