I'm thankful for my name. While it is an unconventional name in America* it is a part of me. I cannot imagine myself with a new name that would not be awkward.
*I can prove that since 90% of my teachers are unable to pronounce my name for the first 2-3 months.
Giveaway:
I'm giving away a YanYan (go on wikipedia if you don't know what this is). The winner's choice of flavor: chocolate dip, strawberry dip, vanilla dip, chocolate/strawberry dip, or chocolate biscuit with vanilla. (If I find more flavors I'll let the winner know).
Does anyone know if it'll be okay to mail food out of the country? Contest will end next week at December 3rd.

If I were named after a snack I'd want to be named after a Moon Pie. :D It just makes me giggle.
ReplyDeleteAs for the mailing food internationally-- it depends on the country (and the food). I'd check the USPS website and see what's allowed.
It would be an awesome snack! People will push other people out of the way just to buy one ;) I think it would be a weird kind of sweet flavor (a flavor that tastes real sweet but it's kind of weird.) and I'll make it sugar free, so everyone can eat some :)
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that? And yes, I think it's possible to mail food out of the country. I just got some food from the Philippines [yes it was mailed in a package ;)
Sorry if I talked too much, haha :)
Super contest, by the way! And I love Yan Yan :))
And I feel for you. LOTS of people pronounce my name wrong.
~ Veronica [this is my pen name/alias just so you won't get confused ;]

Fun contest! And congrats on all of the followers! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say Mars Bars. Not necessarily because of the name, but because it'd be fun to have a name that rhymed.

ReplyDeleteI'd be named after Kit Kat just coz I'm boring and can't think of anything better. But also because then I'd wear a cool t-shirt I saw with Kit is a cylon on it everywhere.

ReplyDeleteI'd be an Almond Joy. Not because it actually fits me, just 'cause they're my favorite. =) Btw, how do you pronounce your name? Yanyans are the best, ever!

Mochi. Greatest Japanese dessert ever! And I think it could pull off as a name for a person. Though I think whoever says it will have a laughing fit everytime.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the followers!
ReplyDeleteI would be named Poppy after popcorn--my favorite food!
